Hi! I've heard that there are soon to be released Gen 1 high speed tools by Vincent. Is there any information on these including a release date? Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike Actually the first generation high speed tools came out a couple months ago. They were an improvement on the standard tools but did not quite get to the speeds vs. removal rates we were happy with. They are capable of up to 110 ipm, but that wasn't quite enough. Then came generation 2. The gen 2 tools are AMAZING to say the least. We have push them and have seen speeds up to 220ipm with minimal load on the spindles. I have some of the standard profiles on the shelf in those available now also. If you would like to talk more about them please give me a call.
thanks Ben

How can we tell if our new Vincent tools are high speed or not? Is there a number or notation on the tool that says it's high speed? Thanks!

Fender At this point, Tyrolit is just getting production ramped up and they don't have new boxes or anything on the tools that signify HS other than the serial number on the tool and the part number on the box. So with that being said, you just have to see them run and you will KNOW they are high speed tools. thanks Ben

Yes We have a company in the US that we work with, and can turn the tools around in about 7days, door to door, if you are in a rush for them and willing to pay next day air charges. Let me know if you have any other questions. thanks Ben

How exactly are the Vincent Tyrolit high speed tools different from standard CNC Tooling? Are they simply brazed on better and balanced better? Or is there a difference in the diamond/steel mix on the grinding surface?
Thanks, Ben

Hey Ben The tools are technically sintered as they always have been. "Brazed" is a different process all together where the diamonds are basically glued to a metal body. The bond(the chemical makeup of alloys that create the metal that holds the diamonds in place) and the quality of diamond are the differences in the new Fast Lane tools versus the classic version. Now Tyrolit keeps the exact differences very close to the chest, as all tooling companies do, but the goal was to create a faster tool that maintained the same or better life at the higher speeds. Which they were able to accomplish.
